| The Fort Worth Chamber Technology Council
has been established to promote the development,
growth, and profitability of technology companies,
the growth of the technology sector, and heighten
awareness of the use of technology in the business
community.
Through participation in Technology
Council events, members:
- Have the opportunity to develop solid, profitable
relationships with each other and with area
leaders
- Address issues, identify/examine trends, impact
workforce
- Find and learn about customers, investors,
employers, suppliers, employees, and partners
- Help educate companies in Fort Worth about
technology and the increasingly important role
it will play in their successful operations.
The council organizes and promotes special
purpose technology meetings and events:
- Luncheons for technology and non-technology
companies to address topics relating to technology
education, trends, and issues
- Breakfasts for members of the technology
council to address issues of concern specifically
to technology companies
- Informal networking events for members of
the technology council.
- Forums/seminars for non-technology companies
- Facility tours and demonstrations of new technologies
- Roundtable discussions
Fort Worth Chamber members may apply for membership
in the Technology Council; there is no additional
charge. To be eligible for membership in the Technology
Council, a company must:
- Be a member in good standing with the Fort
Worth Chamber; and
- Generate or intend to generate a majority
of revenue and core business from the development
or sale of technology products or services including
software, hardware, telecommunications and Internet
technology; or
- Be the technology representative for a Fort
Worth Chamber member company; or
- Be a biotechnology company that generates
or intends to generate at least 50% of its revenues
from the development or sale of biotechnology
products, services or research.
