This annual event recognizes excellence in exporting, importing and services, and promotes local awareness of the benefits of international business. The Chamber works as a co-host of the Mayor’s Global Business Awards in cooperation with the Fort Worth International Center. The 2008 winners are, Small Business Category: Teneo Linguistics Company, LLC; Medium Business Category: Turbomeca USA; Large Business Category: ATC Logistics & Electronic; and the recipient to the Kenneth Barr Flagship Award went to BNSF Railway.

BNSF Railway is one of the four remaining transcontinental railroads and one of the largest railroad networks in North America. When the predecessors of BNSF Railway first started operations, they were building a nation by linking America’s borders. Today, their focus is on helping to expand the global marketplace for goods and services. The people who build BNSF Railway are a unique breed, blending the forward-thinking of dreamers with the pragmatism of results-oriented business leaders. This heritage played a central role in settling and growing the American West, and is helping shippers achieve better business performance today. Congratulations BNSF Railway, recipient of the Kenneth Barr International Flagship Award, “for outstanding success and proven dedication to long-term international business development in Fort Worth”!
Teneo Linguistics Company, LLC was founded in Fort Worth by Hana Laurenzo in 2005 as the first full-service multilingual translation business in the area of North Texas. The team at Teneo Linguistics Company, LLC has helped numerous international businesses to skillfully communicate their messages in a professional and culturally sensitive manner, avoid the unpleasant and costly effects of misunderstanding and misinterpretation and attract new market segments and business opportunities. Congratulations Teneo Linguistics Company, LLC, recipient of the 2008 Mayor’s Global Business Award in the Small Business Category!
