Many local businesses may not be aware that the Fort Worth Chamber (FWC) offers expansion assistance to companies regardless of membership status, benefiting both members and non-members.
At the FWC, we understand the importance of growing local businesses, and we want to set our local companies on the path to success.
That’s why we offer expansion assistance in tandem with the City of Fort Worth Economic Development Department and the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership (FWEDP).
When an expanding company approaches the FWC, we begin with an assessment to fully understand what each company needs. Services offered may include facilitation, monthly check-ins, incentive information, needed connections, and help identifying potential locations.
When a growing company contacts us for expansion assistance, we’ll schedule an introductory meeting to discuss the company’s needs and essential timelines. Next, we’ll put together a meeting between the company and all three growth-focused entities – the FWC, the City of Fort Worth and the FWEDP. Together, we’ll develop an action plan with concrete steps to be followed not just by the company, but by each agency involved.
Another strong partner in this initiative is Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County (WSTC). Once the initial connections have been made with the City and FWEDP, WSTC steps in to address hiring needs. Additional introductions may include educational institutions like our local independent school districts and higher-education.
Finally, we’ll check in monthly with the company to determine status and find solutions for any ongoing or developing needs and any required further connections. At the FWC, we’re not done until you’re well on your path to success.
“The City of Fort Worth, FWEDP, and the FWC are dedicated to supporting local companies and helping align the resources available as they consider expansions,” said FWC President & CEO Steve Montgomery. “Collectively, we strive to advance the interests of the Fort Worth business community.”
We understand that expansion and the issues surrounding expansion can be sensitive subjects for growing businesses, so if desired by the company, the project is kept strictly confidential.
If your company is looking to expand, or you know a local company that might benefit from expansion assistance, we’re here to help.
Please reach out to FWC Senior Vice President of Business Advocacy Netty Matthews with any questions you have about the combined City of Fort Worth Economic Development Department, FWEDP and FWC expansion assistance initiative.
Together, we can grow a better future for Fort Worth! And all of this is possible thanks to Fort Worth Chamber members and investors.
