In Fort Worth's vibrant and growing business landscape, the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce (FWC) is dedicated to supporting local companies with its business retention and expansion efforts, key to strengthening the community's economic vitality.
In a recent collaboration with Reeder Distributors, a local business grappling with entrance and exit logistics for its facility, the Chamber quickly initiated a connection with the City of Fort Worth. This swift response was thanks to FWC’s Area Board members and Business Retention and Expansion Committee. This instance highlights the Chamber's role as a vital connector between businesses and local resources.
Lauren Prieur, Director of Transportation and Public Works, and Mike Landvik, Transportation Planning Manager at the City of Fort Worth, were instrumental in this process. They provided Reeder Distributors with essential permitting requirements and facilitated the necessary connections, setting the stage for a smooth resolution.
This collaboration underscores a sentiment shared by Robert Sturns, City of Fort Worth Economic Development Director, who emphasizes the importance of nurturing both local and new businesses. "As Fort Worth continues to grow, it is vitally important that we take care of businesses, local and new, and take the steps necessary to assist those companies. A part of that process is the strong collaboration between the Chamber, City, and the business community to address any issues or concerns that may arise,” says Sturns.
CONTINUED COMMITMENT
Earlier this year, Eric Roberson of Reeder Distributors recently contacted the Fort Worth Chamber with concerns about flooding problems impacting local businesses. With the assistance of Ben Robertson, the Fort Worth Chamber's East Area Board Chair, a meeting was arranged involving TxDOT and the City of Fort Worth to resolve the issues.
The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce is devoted to connecting local businesses with vital resources, fostering their growth and success. By cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, including city departments and the community, the Chamber ensures that Fort Worth's businesses not only flourish but also effectively tackle any operational challenges.
