FWC TO HOST "LEADERS IN GOVERNMENT" CONVERSATION ON PUBLIC SAFETY

The Fort Worth Chamber is hosting Fort Worth public safety leaders at its next "Leaders in Government" luncheon on April 9. Fort Worth Chief of Police Neil Noakes, Fort Worth Fire Chief Jim Davis, and Tarrant County Commissioner Manny Ramirez will participate in a panel conversation moderated by Leah King. They will discuss the importance of public safety to Fort Worth’s economic prosperity.

Business leaders in attendance will learn more about the latest in Fort Worth public safety, including the response at the Sandman Hotel, improvements on West 7th, the emerging issue of homelessness, City-County collaboration, and more. A community's public safety profile has a direct impact on how it is perceived by potential residents and businesses. In addition to educational and informative takeaways, the Fort Worth Chamber is convening business leaders and policymakers to ensure collaboration between stakeholders. This is to continue exploring solutions that improve quality of life in Fort Worth and make it an attractive place to live and do business.

The luncheon and panel conversation will be held at PalmWood Events from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 9. If your business would like to sponsor, or if you would like to purchase an individual registration, please visit the "Leaders in Government: Public Safety" event page. (add hyperlink when ready)

WHY IT MATTERS: Each panelist can speak to a different aspect of public safety; Chief Noakes on Fort Worth PD, Chief Davis on Fort Worth Fire and other emergency responses, Commissioner Ramirez on Tarrant County’s Sheriff’s Department and continuum of care, and Leah King on nonprofit resources available in the public safety space.

QUICK FACT: Following a decline in property crimes from 8,508 in 2021 to 8,057 in 2022, the City of Fort Worth observed an increase to 9,026 in 2023.
