The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Fort Worth Economic Development Department, is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Small Business Appreciation Walk, scheduled for May 7th. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the critical role small businesses play in shaping Fort Worth’s economy.

In 2024, the Chamber hosted its inaugural Small Business Appreciation Walk, in partnership with the City of Fort Worth Economic Development Department. The event successfully connected with 415 businesses, thanks to the support of 68 dedicated volunteers. This year, the Chamber aims to expand the initiative, engaging 650 businesses by gathering insights on their challenges, and delivering gift bags as a token of appreciation.

Alyssa Al Sabi, Vice President, Commercial Lender at Happy Bank and Chair of the Chamber’s Business Champions, highlights the importance of this event, saying: “The annual Small Business Appreciation Walk is an invaluable opportunity to build authentic connections with the heart of Fort Worth’s economy: our small business owners! With Fort Worth growing at an exponential rate, fostering community and meaningful conversations is more important than ever. Volunteers and team members help to gather key insights into what drives local success while building authentic connections, sharing resources and ensuring that we grow together as a city.”

To help make this event a success, the Chamber is inviting local businesses to contribute items for the gift bags. Whether it’s product samples or branded items like notepads or hand sanitizer, each donation not only supports the event but also provides an opportunity for businesses to showcase their brand to a wide network of local entrepreneurs across the entire city.

The Chamber is excited to continue this tradition of celebrating local businesses. By joining the initiative, businesses can directly impact Fort Worth’s growth while demonstrating their commitment to the local business community. Every contribution—whether through donations or participation in the walk itself—helps make the Small Business Appreciation Walk a success.

If you are interested in participating in the Small Business Appreciation Week Walk on May 7th, we will provide more information in the coming weeks on how to sign up.
