How is Your Business Impacted by Homelessness?

November 2, 2023

Input and insights from the business community are essential as the Fort Worth Chamber works to address important issues affecting our members and businesses across Tarrant County. An issue that has emerged more frequently in recent discussions revolves around homelessness and its potential ramifications for businesses in the Fort Worth area.

To help us better understand the business community’s sentiments on this issue, the Fort Worth Chamber is conducting a brief survey and requests your participation. This is a complex issue with far-reaching consequences for our city, and we want to be part of the solution. The survey should only take a few minutes of your time and will provide valuable information and insights to the Fort Worth Chamber.

Weekly Data Shot

A new report released by the Bank of America Institute reveals that childcare payments have risen more than 30% since 2019. Reports published by the Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing indicate that statewide during the same period, the median price of childcare for a toddler increased by 20%, from $30/day to $36/day.

To help lower operating costs, the Fort Worth Chamber supports the passage of Prop 2, which would allow cities and counties to offer property tax relief to childcare facilities.
