Renfro Foods, a family-owned, Fort Worth-based company known for its salsas, sauces, and condiments, recently reached a significant milestone in its global expansion. The company received an international purchase of over 4,500 cases from Dubai, a first for Renfro’s to that specific country, and presented the company’s most recent need for a Certificate of Origin.
A Certificate of Origin is an essential document in international trade that certifies the origin of the product and helps determine applicable tariffs and trade measures. To navigate this process, Becky Renfro, Senior Vice President of Renfro Foods, reached out to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce to inquire whether the organization still provided the service.
When Renfro Foods first used the Chamber’s Export Documents Service in 2014 for that inaugural shipment to China, companies had to visit the Chamber in person to obtain the necessary export documents. Since then, the service has been updated to allow businesses to complete the process online, providing a quicker and more efficient solution for businesses like Renfro Foods.
