With the 2024 state elections behind us, the countdown to the start of the 89th Texas Legislature has begun. The Fort Worth Chamber has released its State Legislative Agenda for the upcoming session. This list of key, broad policy priorities is focused on improving the state of our economy and the interests of the diverse business community in Fort Worth.
Maintaining Texas as the best place to do business is critical to the economic growth that leads to prosperity in our region and for our families. The Fort Worth Chamber will continue to support a competitive and balanced tax system that incentivizes growth. Smart investments in key infrastructure such as transportation, water, and energy will be paramount to keeping Texas a business-friendly state.
The vitality of employees, customers, and students plays a significant role in the health of doing business in Fort Worth. That is why priorities for the Fort Worth Chamber this session also focus on workforce readiness and access to quality, affordable health care, including childcare. Achieving positive outcomes in these areas affords greater opportunities for all.
The Fort Worth Chamber will remain engaged with members and state elected officials to promote and advocate for policies that align with the vision and interests of our community.
