The Fort Worth Chamber is excited to launch the Business Champions program, a new initiative aimed at supporting Fort Worth businesses by connecting them with community leaders and gathering key insights to drive growth. The program will focus on business retention, expansion, and overall business climate issues to help further strengthen the city’s economic future.

The Fort Worth Chamber aims to connect with more than 600 businesses in 2025. These conversations will provide valuable feedback on the challenges businesses face like workforce issues and regulatory concerns. This feedback will guide the Chamber’s strategic priorities, inform community and government leaders, and ensure that the needs of Fort Worth businesses are met with timely support, resources, and opportunities for growth.

FWC President and CEO, Steve Montgomery, commented on the importance of the Business Champion program - “Our Business Retention and Expansion efforts are an economic development priority for the Fort Worth Chamber because up to 80% of new jobs and capital investment come from existing businesses. The Business Champions will play a vital role in helping us improve our business climate, nurture and support local businesses, and identify companies that plan to expand.”

Business Champions will connect directly with business owners, listen to their concerns, and gather insights on the local business climate. The data collected will be reviewed by the FWC Area Boards and Business Advocacy Committee, ensuring that actions taken are aligned with the needs of the business community. This collaborative approach will help maintain a responsive and proactive approach to the city’s evolving economic challenges.

The Business Champions initiative is key to the Chamber’s effort to unite local businesses, address challenges, and align resources—resulting in a stronger business climate and greater economic prosperity for all.
